New hire announcement

New engineering talents joins the CORE-emt service team

Sebastian and Christopher bring broad technical educational backgrounds, a hands-on approach and a passion for problem-solving to their new roles as Field Service Engineers at CORE-emt.

Two service engineers joins the team

Both Sebastian and Christopher are newly graduated Bachelor in Technology Management and Marine Engineers from MARTEC Frederikshavn, bringing a broad technical foundation covering mechanics, electrical systems, automation and troubleshooting.

Their education has trained them to understand complex systems, work methodically and find solutions when things don’t quite go according to plan - skills that fit naturally into the role of a Field Service Engineer.

At CORE-emt, they will put that technical foundation to work supporting our customers and their SMT production, while building specialised knowledge of the machines and technologies that keep modern electronics manufacturing moving.

So, who are Sebastian and Christopher - and what made them choose a career working with SMT equipment? Let’s meet them.

Sebastian Holm Field Service engineer at CORE-emt

Meet Sebastian

Some people enjoy figuring out how things work. Sebastian particularly enjoys figuring out why they don’t.

It was the troubleshooting and problem-solving side of his Technology Management and Marine Engineer education that really caught his interest - identifying a problem, understanding what is causing it and finding a way to fix it. That mindset is something he is now bringing with him into his new role as Field Service Engineer at CORE-emt.

What attracted Sebastian to CORE-emt was the combination of mechanics, electrical systems, automation and technology - but also the opportunity to get out of the office and into the real world of customer production.

For him, the goal is to support customers by building a strong understanding of the equipment and gain the practical experience needed to troubleshoot and service the SMT equipment.

I find the troubleshooting process really interesting. Being able to identify a problem, and then work out a solution to it, is something I really enjoy.

Sebastian also likes the responsibility that comes with working directly with customers. When production depends on the equipment working as it should, solving the problem is about more than just finding the fault – it is about helping the customer get back to running smoothly.

As a colleague, Sebastian describes himself as hard-working, a team player and humorous. He is not one to stand around for long when there is something to be solved. He would rather get involved, learn from the people around him and get the job done.

When Sebastian is not at CORE-emt, you’ll usually find him doing one of three things: spending time with friends and family, watching football or getting involved in whatever DIY project is happening at home.

He describes himself as a bit of a football nerd, so a match on TV is rarely a bad way to spend a weekend.

And when his girlfriend has a new DIY idea, Sebastian is the kind of guy who gets involved rather than finding a convenient reason to 'make a Houdini' 😄

Always ready to figure things out – at work and at home.

Christopher Sørensen Field Service engineer at CORE-emt

Meet Christopher

For Christopher, getting hands-on with machines has always been of great interest.

Before becoming a Technology Management and Marine Engineer, Christopher was as an automotive mechanic - so working with machines, understanding how they fit together and getting his hands dirty is nothing new to him.

His Marine Engineer education added a much broader technical perspective, covering everything from engines and generators to transformers, electrical systems and automation.

Now, he is bringing both sides of that experience to his new role as Field Service Engineer at CORE-emt.

I’m looking forward to getting to know the equipment, building my experience and becoming someone who can really make a difference out in the field.

One of the things Christopher finds most interesting is learning how new machines and systems work. His Marine Engineer background has taught him to quickly get an overview of complex systems, understand how the different components work together and pick up new technology along the way.

That curiosity will come in handy in the field, where no two customer visits are necessarily the same. Christopher looks forward to meeting different customers, seeing different types of production and, of course, getting to know the equipment along the way.

As a colleague, Christopher describes himself as happy, curious and helpful. He enjoys lending a hand when things get busy and is not easily thrown off by a bit of pressure. For him, working together and helping each other is simply part of getting the job done.

Christopher is happiest when there’s something to do and preferably some fresh air involved. He spends plenty of time with friends, whether that means sailing on the Limfjord, heading out for a fishing trip or making his way to the stadium to cheer on AaB football team.

He clearly isn’t one for sitting still for too long. Whether he’s out on the water, casting a line or in the stands, there’s usually something happening.

Always something to explore – at work and in the spare time.

Two new technical profiles
– one strong team

Sebastian and Christopher bring different experiences and perspectives to the CORE-emt service team, but they have plenty in common: a strong technical foundation, a hands-on mindset and a genuine curiosity about how things work.

As they build their knowledge of SMT equipment and electronics production, they will be supported by the experienced CORE-emt team and have plenty of opportunities to learn from both colleagues and customers.

For our customers, that means two new Field Service Engineers who are ready to get involved, ask questions, solve problems and grow into their roles – while bringing solid engineering skills with them from day one.
