In 2018, COMTEC OY in Finland took the next step in their SMT production together with CORE-emt by investing in a new Yamaha pick & place solution.
Their choice was the Yamaha YSM10 - a compact high-speed modular mounter – one of the world's fastest placement machines at the time. The investment enabled COMTEC OY to handle both today's and tomorrow's PCB assemblies, from tiny 01005 components and BGAs to larger connectors, while introducing the benefits of Yamaha's intelligent feeder platform for greater efficiency, flexibility and production control.
The investment also marked the next chapter in a long-standing partnership. Before upgrading to their new Yamaha solution, COMTEC OY had already expanded their production with a pre-owned screen printer and a PCB loader supplied by CORE-emt.
